One day a new art teacher bursts onto the scene, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who infects the students with joy and optimism. Things are no different at his new school, and Ishaan has to contend with the added trauma of separation from his family. When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to 'be disciplined'. And Ishaan just cannot seem to get anything right in class. Ishaan Awasthi is an eight-year-old child whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate colours, fish, dogs and kites are just not important in the world of adults, who are much more interested in things like homework, marks and neatness. Definitely a film to watch if you crave an intelligent film. When he jumps from the chair and on to the villain it gives you a bit of a jump! I also love the dialogue between the Aamir Khan and Mukesh Rishi when he tells he tells him his purpose of joining the police force. I love the scene where he is at the hospital and he is reading a newspaper when one of the villains appears and tries to bribe and threaten him. There are several scenes I enjoy in the movie. You can tell with some actors when they are trying hard to portray their characters it makes you enjoy the movie even more. An intelligent film but still a commercial one which I like. I am big fan of Aamir Khan and this is my favourite movie of his.
